When younger, I was a firefighter in the United States Air Force. I became the Fire Communication officer and had to broadcast weather info, fire conditions, etc. Between bulletins I played music with some info about the bands etc.
At the end of my military service I used my soldier scholarship to go to radio and tv broadcasting school and worked full time in commercial radio for 10 years and 8 more years part time.
As a radio man I have covered an unbelievable span of events. Charity Hospital bed races, county fairs, holiday activities, Ring Announcer for SuperFight events in Florida, talent show host and judge, Grand Marshall of a 4th of July parade and the clown in the Dunk Tank for a charity event for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Now, thanks to Kampot Radio, I have the opportunity to revisit one of my first loves! Radio DJ! I’m Downtown Gaz Brown
